Project One

This is the process of me doing my Crane Truck model.

For this i used many different polygons on a rectangle and used a lot of the difference tool to get this shape out. The space for the wheels, the top of the truck and the small holes at the side. The small cylinders are just handles for the wheels. Beveling most of the the edges to get a smoother shape and extruding the back after using the cut face tool to make a anchor for the crane.

Next up i added the wheels of the truck..

Using the duplicate function to create similar wheels and  rotating each differently so that they seem to be somewhat moved, after that I used the align tool to make the wheels in place.

Next up.. creating the anchor for the train. It was originally a straight crane but i used what i learnt on previous exercises to move the point of rotation and managed to get a little elevated angle for crane. The extension I did it by using the create polygon tool and drawing out the shape before extruding it. Aligning it to the main anchor to make it look better.

This is just another extension following my model and extruding it out .

This is the last point of the crane. I created a box and used difference to carve out a hole at the bottom of the box. Next creating a container where to hang the hook and chains.

The chains are created using the polygons and scaling them down before duplicating more of them.

This is the truck after i created the final hook and input colours. Adding the blinns to the faces of the polygons and using the cut faces tool allowed me to create different colours of a single face and more. The orange and black stripes on top of the hook is also done using the cut faces tool.

This is the last part of my model. After making sure everything is aligned and coloured, I use lighting function and rendered it to give it this screenshot of the truck.
